JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - The Jackson County Office of the Sheriff (JCSO) has introduced a new online reporting system, giving residents a faster and more convenient way to file certain types of reports without calling or visiting the Sheriff’s Office in person.
The system aims to improve accessibility, reduce wait times, and allow deputies to focus on emergencies and in-progress incidents.
Residents can now file online reports for the following types of incidents:
Abandoned vehicles
Car/deer crashes resulting in $1,000 or less in damage
Identity theft
Retail fraud
School bus passing violations
Suspicious situations
Thefts involving unknown suspects or incidents not in progress
The online tool features a simple, step-by-step process designed to ensure accurate documentation
