MONROE COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - A man is in trouble with the law after crashing a limo bus on I-75 in Southeast Michigan Thursday, sending 11 people — mostly teenagers — to the hospital.
Michigan State police officials said late Friday morning the crash happened around 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 30 as the 69-year-old Detroit man was driving members from the city of Detroit’s Community Violence Intervention Program to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.
Authorities are not sure what led to the crash, but say the bus left the road and rolled several times. Several passengers were ejected. The driver told investigators he “has no recollection of the crash,” according to MSP.
There were a total of 15 people on board the bus. Eleven were taken to three different hospitals in the area.
