CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. —
A Cherokee County, South Carolina, man has admitted to sending intimidating and threatening emails to a victim due to political opinions.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Robert Dean Upchurch, 52, with unlawful communications, intimidation due to political opinions and exercise of civil rights, and stalking on Tuesday.

Arrest warrants say the victim lives in Orangeburg County and between Aug. 14 and Aug. 21 Upchurch sent the victim four emails and a voicemail.
