28-year-old Gerard Keenatch from Regina and 27-year-old Francis Desjarlais from Kawacatoose First Nation were charged in connection with a string of thefts in Midale this July.
On October 22 in Regina Provincial Court, Keenatch pleaded guilty to six counts of trespass at night. Eight other charges were stayed, including six counts of breaking and entering a place and committing an indictable offence, one count possession of a break-in instrument, and one count violating the terms of a release order.
As a result, he received an 18-month suspended sentence and is also under several conditions, including staying out of Midale.
