CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A new bookstore is in town! Lady Birds celebrated its opening on Thursday at 299 King Street in Charleston. The store is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Owners retained elements from the original building, such as the funky flooring that spills over onto the corner of King and Liberty Streets. Added to the space was a curved interior bench, decorative window art, and neat bookshelves filled with colorful bindings.
The store is designed to be a warm gathering place with natural tones for all book lovers.
Readers can find a variety of books, including nonfiction, fiction, cookbooks, journals, magazines, puzzles, and coloring books. There is also a dedicated music section filled with albums and titles written by or about musicians.
