A woman’s body has been found at a home in the Hunter Valley following reports of domestic violence.
Detectives have launched an investigation into the death, after the woman’s body was found by police officers in a home on Ellalong Street, Kearsley, near Cessnock, on Friday night.
Emergency services had responded to reports of a domestic violence incident at the home just after 7.30pm, NSW Police said.
Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District established a crime scene. Specialist forensic officers are involved, and the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad are assisting detectives with their investigation.
