PORTLAND, Ore. — A 13-year-old boy has been hospitalized after being hit by a car in Portland, Portland police confirmed to KGW.

On Friday evening, the boy, who was wearing a Halloween costume, was hit at Southeast Hawthrone Boulevard and Southeast 22nd Avenue, police said. His family was there and went to the hospital with him.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, and there was no indication of intoxication. The driver, who was not named, was released, and there were no arrests or citations made, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Though the teenager is stabilized at the hospital, PPB said that they are unsure about his long-term prognosis, as the injuries were very serious.
