Alex Bradley, a fitness coach from Austin, Texas, has been passing through Southern Utah over the past few days as he walks, runs and jogs along a planned 2,500-mile journey from Texas to Oregon to help raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.

St. George News caught up with Bradley and support driver Nic Estes on Halloween morning at a truck stop at the northern edge of Cedar City, just as they were about to begin making their way through the city and start heading west on state Route 56 toward Enterprise.

In just a little over two months since leaving Austin at the start of September, Bradley has covered over 1,500 miles, with approximately 1,000 miles more to go. If he maintains his average pace of about 26 miles per day, he’ll arrive in Oregon City in early December.
