NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - More than a month after New Haven won the Guinness World Record for the biggest pizza party, the achievement was featured on CBS’s 60 Minutes.

The episode highlighted New Haven’s record-breaking pizza party, which Colin Caplan organized in September. Caplan celebrated the national exposure at a watch party at Christopher Martins Restaurant on Sunday.

“This is all about sharing New Haven’s pizza to everybody. We are so happy to have this on the national stage,” said Caplan, founder of Taste of New Haven.

Staff from Big Green Truck Pizza, who made over 10,000 slices to break the record, also attended the watch party. The massive undertaking required coordination across multiple teams.
