WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - A train derailment in Hutchinson on Monday blocked some railroad crossings.

The City of Hutchinson said the derailment occurred from 17th Avenue to 56th Avenue. The crossing at 17th Avenue near Walmart is closed, and one lane of Kansas Highway 61 from 17th to 30th will also be closed to allow heavy equipment to be transported as crews work to clear and repair the area.
