Huntingdon station is expected to reopen this afternoon (Monday, November 3) following a train attack. National Rail has said the station will be open from 4pm after it was closed in the evening on Saturday, November 1.
The first trains that will be able to stop at the station will be the 3.54pm service from Peterborough to Horsham and the 1.55pm from Horsham to Peterborough. The trains will be arriving at the station at 4.10pm and 4.20pm respectively.
The train station was closed after a man attacked passengers with a knife on an LNER train from Doncaster to London King's Cross with emergency services being called to the area at around 7.42pm. The train driver made the decision to stop at Huntingdon station after the emergency alarms were pulled.
