NEWARK, N.J. – A judge has granted Sean Diddy Combs' request to expedite his appeal, with arguments potentially being heard as soon as next spring.
Combs, a well-known music producer and entrepreneur, was sentenced to more than four years in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He recently reported to a federal prison in New Jersey.
Combs has already served 14 months following his arrest last September. His legal team asked the court to expedite the scheduled appeal hearing to seek a quicker resolution.
The expedited appeal could significantly impact Combs' sentence, depending on the outcome of the arguments next spring.
