AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One person was injured in a shooting on Deen Avenue on Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

Richmond County deputies responded to the 2700 block of Deen Avenue in reference to a shooting at 7:35 a.m.

Deputies say they located one victim with a gunshot wound while on scene.

The victim was transported to Wellstar MCG for treatment.
