Jun Ji-Hyun has reportedly turned down the Korean remake of the 'Americans' show. It was tentatively titled as 'Koreanz'. Jun Ji-Hyun has apparently allotted the dates to the series HumanXGumiho that has Ji Chang-wook in the lead. Her agency Peachy Company has said that Koreanz was one of the scripts she was reviewing but ultimately decided to let go of the script. It seems she cannot manage time to film both of them simultaneously. The series would have been directed by Ahn Gil-Ho who has earlier helmed superhit series like The Glory and Stranger. The Glory on Netflix had Song Hye-kyo as lead and was a global sensation.
It seems the spy thriller show Americans is based in the 1980s when there was a Cold War. Likewise, the Korean series will be when the nation faced a dictatorship. In 1
