This is the shocking moment two cars crashed on a busy Birmingham road, leaving one man dying and four seriously hurt.

Released for the first time by police, the footage shows a blue Vauxhall Meriva swing into the path of an oncoming Audi A4 at the junction of Stratford Road and Long Street in Sparkhill .

The explosive noise of the impact drew up to 40 people to the scene from all directions. Some rushed to pull the occupants from both cars and help the injured.
