A solidarity protest is to take place following a spate of 'racist and violent' attacks involving women.

Domestic violence charity Roshni is asking the public to take part in a march against misogyny and violence.

There have been a number of violent and allegedly racist incidents against women in the Black Country in the last few months.

Last Monday, October 27, a gang of up to five males pounced on a female, said to have been in her 50s, on Waddens Brook Lane, Wednesfield, at around 6.30pm.

The hooded men, in their 20s and wearing dark clothing then tried to hit her with a weapon resembling a 'metal bar.'
