PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A teenage girl was hospitalized after a shooting at an apartment complex in north Phoenix on Tuesday morning.

Just after 8:15 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the Saratoga Ridge Apartments near 16th Street and Bell Road for reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a teen girl with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have detained a suspect “in the immediate area,” according to police on the scene. They do not believe there are any outstanding suspects.

Arizona’s Family crews saw about a dozen police vehicles and officers armed with long rifles and shields. Officers escorted a family out of a nearby apartment.
