GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KETK) -- The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a cyclist and a vehicle that occurred on Monday night in Gregg County.
DPS said the victim, an elderly man riding his bike, was struck at around 7:06 p.m. by an unknown vehicle on FM 1252 westbound. The driver failed to stop and render aid.
The vehicle that struck the cyclist is described as a newer model gray or silver Hyundai Sonata or Elantra, missing its right-side rear-view mirror. It may also have damage along the right side from the collision. The vehicle was last seen heading westbound on FM-1252.
