UPDATE: Voter crashed into Camp Hill school, leading to early dismissal

A driver crashed Tuesday morning into the gymnasium at Hoover Elementary School in Camp Hill, police said.

Police said no one was injured in the crash on the 400 block of South 24th Street. Emergency responders were on the scene as of 11:15 a.m.

“The Camp Hill Police Department would like to reassure the community that there are no injuries and everyone is safe,” police said.

No one was injured and all students and staff were “safe and accounted for,” the school district said in a statement on its website. No activities were taking place in the gymnasium at the time.

Emergency crews were assessing the building for structural damage, and “out of an abundance of caution,” access to the gymnasium was restricted.
