TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - An investigation is underway after the Pima County Sheriff's Department responded to two separate reports within minutes of one another on Tucson's southwest side.

On Oct. 29 around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Cardinal Avenue and Valencia Road , PCSD responded to a report of a stabbing.

As officers were in route to the scene, they received an additional report that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the same area.

Investigations revealed the injured pedestrian may have been involved in a fight with the victim of the stabbing incident, PCSD said.

The investigation is ongoing.
