FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – The Franklin County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) has filed additional charges against a man previously arrested for criminal trespassing in connection with recent hay thefts.

FCSO officials reported that patrol deputies found the suspect around 1:00 a.m. last week, parked beside a haystack in a remote area. Initially arrested for criminal trespass, further investigation by FCSO detectives linked him to the illegal distribution of stolen hay.

Undersheriff Monty Huber noted the impact on local farmers.
