FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Questions remain unanswered following a former Arkansas Department of Human Services staffer's arrest for allegedly possessing child sexual abuse materials.
Alejandro Hernandez, 30, of Elkins, was arrested on Oct. 30, for one count of distributing, possessing and viewing child pornography. At the time of his arrest, court documents said he was working at DHS as a child services investigator.
Police claimed Hernandez was using an alias on social media and posting images depicting children being sexually abused by adults and a video showing a child engaged in sexual conduct with an animal.
DHS told KNWA/FOX24 on Oct. 31 that Hernandez had been fired and the accusations against him were "reprehensible."
