AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Interim Augusta Commission member Tanya Barnhill-Turnley won’t be serving in the role for a longer period.

Appointed to the District 4 seat after Alvin Mason resigned, she was running in Tuesday’s election, but lost to Lonnie Wimberly, 2,210 (61.7%) to 1,369 (38.3%).

They both campaigned to the end.
