A mum used a company credit card to splurge more than £180,000 on hundreds of ink cartridges then flogged them for £200 a pop on eBay.

Claire Timmins, 34, worked as an administration officer for Salford-based recruitment consultancy company Morson Group.

As part of her trusted role, she had access to the company's credit card, Manchester Crown Court heard yesterday (November 4)

But in February 2024, the firm's managing director was handed an overview of the overhead costs which revealed an 'abnormally large' amount spent on print cartridges.

Morson Group only required around four cartridges per month, yet the figures showed many, many more had been bought.
