The blaze began at the facility on the Ballygomartin Road shortly after 8pm on Tuesday night.

Eight pumping appliances, an aerial appliance, a water tanker and a command support attended the scene.

There was a large amount of scrap metal on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the fire using four firefighting jets, a ground monitor and foam firefighting apparatus.

Local residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed, with the public asked to avoid the area.
