TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) - A gas leak has closed a portion of Main Street in Torrington.

The state Department of Transportation on Wednesday reported that the street was closed between Prospect Place and Pearl Street.

It happened around 6:10 a.m.

There was no word on what caused the leak.
