Justice secretary David Lammy has been slammed after a second foreign national was accidentally released from prison.

It comes just days after migrant sex offender, Hadush Kebatu, sparkerd a huge manhunt after he was also mistakenly freed by the prison service.

Lammy refused to say whether the latest mix-up had happened despite being asked about it five times in the Commons by shadow defence secretary James Cartlidge.

Cartlidge said: “Can he reassure the House that since Kebatu was released no other asylum-seeking offender has been accidentally let out of prison? Can you answer the question, deputy prime minister?”
