ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - A 25-year-old Rockford man was arrested after traveling to Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, believing he would meet a 15-year-old girl for sexual activity, police said.
Daniel Renteria faces felony charges of child enticement and using a computer to facilitate a sex crime following his arrest Monday.
Twin Lakes police said Renteria drove to Wisconsin after communicating online with someone he believed was an underage girl. When he arrived at the meeting location, officers arrested him.
Police found condoms and bedding in his car’s trunk.
During questioning, Renteria admitted he believed he was communicating with a 15-year-old and planned to engage in sexual activity with her, according to investigators.
Renteria appeared in Kenosha County Court on Tuesday, where a judge
