AKRON, Ohio — A Summit County man will spend the next decade behind bars after being convicted of illegally possessing a “Glock switch” firearm and other drug-related offenses, according to Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.
Kolkovich announced Wednesday that 33-year-old Maurice Arnold was sentenced to 10 years in prison for having a firearm equipped with a Glock switch — an illegal device that converts a semi-automatic pistol into a fully automatic weapon.
A “Glock switch” is a small, attachable device roughly the size of a quarter that allows a semi-automatic pistol to fire continuously with one pull of the trigger.
