FRANKFORT, Ky. —
Kentuckians who rely on SNAP benefits could see their partial payments soon.
President Donald Trump's administration said on Monday that SNAP would be partially funded after a pair of judges required to keep the program running. Prior to this, there was concern SNAP benefits would lapse on Nov. 1 due to the government shutdown.
Nearly 600,000 Kentuckians rely on the food assistance program.
Despite partial payments being funded for November, it has not been clear when people will receive those funds.
During his Team Kentucky update on Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear said he has received confirmation from the federal government that payments will begin processing on Thursday.
