A knife thug who left a dog walker seriously injured following a crazed attack in the Borders has been jailed . ‌

Paul Weller Aires, 42, stabbed the 43-year-old victim on Teviot Crescent in Hawick on Wednesday, March 26. ‌

Aires pleaded pleaded guilty to the crime at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, November 5. ‌

He was sentenced to seven years in prison.
