Shein is set to be banned in France after complaints were made over childlike sex dolls being allegedly found on the online retailer's website. The economy ministry said that proceedings would last for "as long as necessary" for the platform to prove to authorities that all of its content is "finally in compliance with our laws and regulations".
The news came just after Shein opened its first physical store, in the Paris department store BHV. While customers queued to enter, protestors stood outside with signs.
