OTTAWA—More Conservatives are considering decamping to the government benches, new Liberal MP Chris d’Entremont says, while some New Democrats are now signalling they may oppose a vote critical to the survival of Mark Carney’s minority Liberals.
D’Entremont, who on Tuesday stunned his former colleagues by leaving Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives to join the Liberal ranks, said at a news conference Wednesday that other Tory MPs were mulling decisions similar to his own.
“I would suggest that there probably are those that are in the same boat, but I will let them tell their stories, if that time comes,” d’Entremont said.
