PLYMOUTH, Mass. —
Attorneys for Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury, Massachusetts, mother accused of killing her three children , want a judge to move her trial from Plymouth to Boston.
Court documents obtained by Newscenter 5 show Clancy's attorney, Kevin Reddington, made that request Monday.
Her attorneys argue the publicity around the case has made it so she cannot get a fair trial otherwise.
"Due to intense and ongoing media scrutiny in this case coupled with the set of facts surrounding this first degree murder trial the defendant submits that her rights to due process of law and a fair trial before an unbiased jury shall be compromised," the motion stated.
Her attorneys also asked to push her trial back from Feb. 9, 2026, until May 11, 2026, or further, citing government evaluations
