GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Family members of ten fallen military members received a lunch and a tour of Lambeau Field on Wednesday as part of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS).
TAPS is an organization that cares for the families of the fallen, providing care, comfort, and community.
“TAPS has been the reason that I’m still married, that we survived the whole family made it through losing Jeremiah,” said Dawn Millard, from Whitewater. “They support us, they encourage us to do fun things so that we can celebrate as well as the sad things so that we remember and still celebrate.”
Packers players joined the families on Wednesday to paint and assemble a flag in the Johnsonville Tailgate Village.
