The Seattle Seahawks crushed the Washington Commanders on national television last Sunday, and Sam Darnold has earned some recognition for his sublime performance.
Darnold won the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week award, having been nominated twice before this season. After a historically great 16/16, 282-yard, 4-touchdown first half showing, Darnold finished 21/24 for 330 yards, 4 TDs, and an inconsequential interception. More touchdowns than incomplete passes is always a good thing, and Darnold was shredding Washington’s defense apart.
This win for Darnold also means a $2,000 donation to Food Lifeline, a local Seattle food bank that is a part of Feeding America’s network.
Darnold should’ve won the NFL’s official NFC Offensive Player of the Week award, but it was given to Chicago
