STATE NEWS: South Carolina debates solutions for doctor shortage crisis
SOUTH CAROLINA (WSPA) -- Three Upstate schools were recognized Wednesday at the South Carolina Statehouse with 2025 Blue Ribbon School honors.
State Superintendent of Education Ellen Weaver and Governor Henry McMaster were at the event, praising the schools' successes.
"We are building on excellence," Weaver said. "Excellence is our standard here in South Carolina and we won't accept anything less."
In Greenville County, Tigerville Elementary School was honored for its high performing students, while Prince of Peace Catholic School was recognized for closing achievement gaps in state assessments for English and mathematics.
