Emergency crews were pelted with fireworks while attending a blaze at a high-rise block in Merseyside on Wednesday (November 5).
A police investigation will now be launched after the fire service were targeted on Primrose Drive in the Huyton area. They were called to reports that a tower block was on fire.
One video shared on social media showed a firework being shot in the direction of a firefighter near to where a small bonfire was lit, the ECHO reports.
A teenager was injured after being struck by a firework and is being treated by paramedics.
