Strasburg Town Council members signaled little appetite Monday for a proposed 94-lot residential annexation off Stover Avenue, saying the town cannot afford to take on new housing when its existing infrastructure and schools are already overextended.
The proposal, presented by Planning Director Brian Otis, sought feedback on whether council would even consider annexing 8.95 acres at 31501 Old Valley Pike for a four-phase subdivision. Developer Lellock Consulting Inc., representing property owner John Cadden, said it wanted to gauge the town’s interest before investing in engineering and legal costs.
