Nadia DiRe scored in double overtime to break a scoreless tie and lift second-seeded Voorhees to a 1-0 win over seventh-seeded Vernon in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 2 Tournament in Glen Gardner.

Christa Lenzinger provided the assist on DiRe’s goal.

Voorhees has won nine of its last 11 games.

Goalie Sophia Forsyth earned the shutout with five saves for Voorhees, while Alexis Inoa stopped 13 shots for Vernon (12-6-2).

Voorhees will advance to play the winner of the West Morris/Hackettstown game in the semifinals on Monday.
