HAWKINS, Texas (KLTV) - An East Texas woman was reunited with a precious valuable, her wedding ring, after believing to have lost it for good.

“Right here, in just a pile of ash, there was my ring. Sitting there, and I’m like, ‘There’s no way.’”

Nearly a month ago, right as her family was getting ready for bed, Nacole Eaton watched her home she and her husband saved up six years for, go up in flames.

“If this had happened, even two hours later, we would’ve all been asleep,” Eaton said. “And it burned down so fast that I feel like our family would’ve been planning four funerals.”

A fire believed to have started from a heating lamp for the family’s baby chicks, engulfed the entire home in fifteen minutes and took the fire department more than five hours to extinguish.
