HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) - A Hubbard graduate is getting ready to ship out to basic training this winter, but she'll be training for a unique position.

Since she was 10 years old, Hubbard native Emalee Warren knew she wanted to join the military.

"I always wanted to go into it. I saw how much of a big impact it had on my family. I want to serve my country," Warren said. Warren grew up in a military family. At 16, she took the ASVAB, a military aptitude test, for the first time. By the time she got to high school, Warren knew she wanted to enlist in the Air Force. But a few weeks ago, she got an unexpected call from her recruiter.
