Robert Taylor, who was the lead guitarist for the popular New Zealand rock band Dragon, has died at the age of 74.

Taylor’s death was confirmed on social media by Kerry Jacobson, who was the drummer for Dragon. No cause of death has been reported.

“I’m writing to share the unexpected and devastating news of the passing of my mentor, my partner in crime for some of the best times, my musical comrade through the hardest of times and my dear friend of decades … the irreplaceable Robert Taylor,“ Jacobson says in the post.
