BROOK PARK, Ohio – Stability won out at the polls in Brook Park, where residents re-elected nearly all incumbents Nov. 4, setting the stage for steady leadership as the city gears up for major projects and the arrival of the Cleveland Browns.

One notable change came in Ward 1, where challenger Andres Gonzalez Jr. defeated longtime Councilman Tom Troyer, earning 514 votes (60 percent) to 344 (40 percent), according to unofficial results from the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections.

Mayor Edward A. Orcutt was returned to office with 2,600 votes in an uncontested race. Since taking office in 2022, Orcutt has focused on business growth, neighborhood revitalization and infrastructure improvements while leading early planning efforts for the Browns’ relocation in 2029.
