SWOYERSVILLE — Humane officers with the SPCA of Luzerne County charged Eric Rollman, 38, with killing two cats with a pellet gun, according to court records.
Rollman, of Lackawanna Avenue, Swoyersville, discarded the cats – named Maddie and Rascal – in a field behind his residence where the felines corpses were recovered in March, court records say.
The two cats were being cared for by a woman residing on Lackawanna Avenue.
During necropsies of the two cats, similar to an autopsy, a total of 10 pellets were removed from Maddie and a single pellet was removed from the stomach of Rascal, court records say.
Court records say Rascal died a painful death as the pellet did not instantly cause death.
