A housing association has been hit with a severe warning over the delayed submission of electrical and gas safety certificates for a Glasgow home.
Sanctuary Scotland was handed the caution as it took around six months after a council investigation of a southside property for the certificates to be submitted to Glasgow City Council .
Licensing chiefs said the delays were “simply not good enough”. But they did agree to renew the housing association’s HMO licence for the Morton Gardens home, which is used as supported accommodation.
HMO licences are required when a property is occupied by three or more people who are not related. Owners need to provide several safety documents, including an electrical installation condition report, portable appliance test [PAT] and gas safety certifi
