HARTFORD, Conn. — Gov. Ned Lamont said Friday that the state will be fully funding SNAP benefits for until the end of November.
Lamont made the statement following a press conference on the housing legislation that will be considered in a special session of the state legislature next Wednesday.
"I just authorized our department. We're going to fully fund SNAP through the end of November and we'll see what happens from there," said Lamont.
He said he reached his decision this week, after back and forth between the courts and the Administration. He had harsh words for the federal government. "Stop dragging it out. They've been on again, off again, on again, off again on SNAP. You're going to get a partial payment, a full payment. It's just been this herky jerky back and forth is driving
