PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man injured Saturday.

Officers responded to the 80 block of Afton Parkway around 2:54 a.m. for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police say the shooting is under investigation.
