An earthquake shook the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Sunday afternoon. As per the National Centre for Seismology, the magnitude was 5.4.

However, according to the German Research Centre for Geosciences, the magnitude was 6.07, and the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometres. The National Centre for Seismology, on the other hand, has claimed that the depth was 90 kilometres.
