New York City opened several applications for civil service careers earlier last month — but time is running out for the police officer exam.

The application deadline to apply for the police officer exam in New York City is Monday, Nov. 17.

According to the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services , police officers perform general police duties and related work in the New York City Police Department including connecting and building relationships with the community.
